In combination with my M4-monoblocks, the ideal brake master cilinder for race-use? I also use the Z04 pads with Brembo HPK full-floating rotors.
February / 09 / 2014
Answer:
19x18 is the right choice for racing, you can also consider the forged version.
Question:
I am using the RCS master now on my S1000RR on track, but would like to upgrade this to something better. Would this work okay with the stock calipers? I am not considering an upgrade on the stock calipers, since I find them great with Dual Sinter/Z04 pads.
November / 19 / 2014
Answer:
Well, RCS is not a true racing part, while XR series master cylinder is a true racing part. There is a difference for sure with RCS.
Question:
Thank you, and yes, I figured as much with the RCS. Would you recommend this over the forged version with 19x18? (I've raced with monoblocks on my Fireblade previously(also with RCs master), but haven't reached the limits of the stock calibers yet, hence keeping them). I just want a good and reliable racing product.
November / 19 / 2014
Answer:
Yes this is the Brembo Racing Master Cylinder used by most of the riders, the step over this mc is the pn XA7G7G0 used in Motogp, ...price is 4 times this part.
Question:
Is the performance same as the forged one? What is the critical differences? Is it just because of CNC?
October / 22 / 2015
Answer:
The performance is different because it is CNC.
Question:
Is this machined from a forged piece of alu then later finishing with CNC?
October / 22 / 2015

Hi, I currently have the 19RCS, I was wondering if the MC 19x18 CNC will have a lot of difference. Is it worth the update, my GSX-R 750 is track only.
May / 16 / 2016
Answer:
This master cylinder is the master cylinder that most of the professional riders use in official races while RCS is the top for both road and track. The difference is like to run with a stock bike and run with a racebike.

Question:
Hi!I'm racing a 2015 Panigale R and experience som brake feel problems and looking for a three step upgrade,1. Radial Brake Master Cylinder Brembo 19x18 CNC Billet with Fold-Up Lever. Artnr: Part Number: XR011712. Brembo Racing Brake Disc3. Brembo Racing caliper Will the master cylinder upgrade (step one) work with the original (M50 caliper) setup, and step 2 & 3? I'm looking for more brake power and a crispy feel.Best regards,
January / 16 / 2017
Answer:
1) Yes 19x18 will work with M50. 2/3 You can choose GP4RX + SuperSport disks http://www.carpimoto.it/EN/41487_Product.htm . Please note ABS system should be removed.
Question:
What is the difference between this and XA7G7G0?
April / 10 / 2017
Answer:
Only few riders and can appreciate the differences. Technically, the two differ because XA7G7G0 use titanium, better idle stroke, perfect tolerances, optimization , XA7G7G0 is calibrated one by one. You can appreciate the difference if you have a bike equipped with racing calipers (for example XA3J7F0/F1 ), disks etc. Parts not like GP4 or Supersport disks just to be clear.
Question:
What other parts are needed to go on a 2015 BMW S1000RR race bike (no brake switch needed)?ie - are the hose angles correct (already eliminated ABS)? is the bolt thread the same? does this master cylinder come as a kit (with fluid reservoir/mount and hose)? If not, do you have a recommended list of parts I would need to do a proper installation on a race bike?
April / 11 / 2017
Answer:
Hi, OEM brake lines are correct. You will need a new banjo bolt M10x1, code B19001. This MC hasn't a specific reservoir/mount kit. You can purchase and adapt RCS mounting kit code 110A26385. Please notice that probably you will need to modify the bracket
Question:
Hi,I'm using six pot PFM calipers with 320mm narrow track discs. For street and track day use, which master cylinder do you recommend?
March / 10 / 2018
Answer:
The question is not clear enough for a correct Answer. Other informations required are the piston diameters and if you use two calipers. Assuming you use two calipers and at least 30mm pistons the master cylinder for street and track is a 19RCS. For track use is a 19x18 .
Question:
I already ordered this part for my panigale 1199.are there any modifications required?
March / 22 / 2018
Answer:
No modification required. You shall find only a solution for the reservoir bracket. You won't be able to use it on a different master cylinder so far.
Question:
I am using a 2015 S1000RR on the track only. ABS is removed, Calipers are GP4-RX, steel brake lines, Alpha Racing brake discs and standard Nissin master cylinder. The brakes work fine, but the feedback is not the way I would like to have it. I would like to have a better response. Is the 19x18 CNC a good solution, or do you recommend another cylinder?
May / 31 / 2018
Answer:
Yes most riders use this master cylinder.
Question:
I have a Ducati V4 & with the SS disc & the XR01171 mc. What way should I go ? Just shut off the anti lock system , if that can even be done ? connect the lines together at the anti lock system after removing them from the anti lock system or just run new lines all together. \?
September / 26 / 2018
Answer:
The XR01171 , as per Brembo recommendation, is not compatible with ABS , it means that the on/off of the ABS over the master cylinder is not compatible with the piston / seals, therefore they recommend not to use with ABS. Therefore if you can just switch it off, or replaces the lines, or finally be prepared to a shorter mc life.
Question:
Hello, I just received my XA7G7G0 for my Ducati V-4 I see in a letter above you state " Parts not like GP4 or Supersport disks just to be clear " What Disc & brake pads do you recommend ? Are the V-4 calipers good enough to get the very best braking ??THANKS AGAIN, RICK
September / 28 / 2018
Answer:
Glad that you received XA7G7G0 , sad you did not purchased from us. XA7G7G0 is the top master cylinder produced by Brembo, using with stock calipers is waste of money because you want appreciate the difference with a XR01171 mc. The parts to be used with are not oem parts but racing parts, for example XA7G210 calipers and Pistabassa 08C86911 disks .
Question:
Hi, i would like to know which mc is best for my bike(suzuki gsxr1000 L7 track only)Abs is removed, other brakelines and z04 pads, calipers and discs are oem brembo.is the price worthed for this mc against 10476070?thanks, Phil
October / 29 / 2018
Answer:
XR01171 is a true racing part, appreciate by racing pilots. 10476070 is a good mc for the amateur market and use. The price worth if you are a skilled rider, if you are an amateur it could not worth.
Question:
I purchased this master cylinder with the intention of using it for both road and track, but the box says for racing use only. Can it be used for the road as well? If not, why is that? I didn't see any information on this page stating that is for race only.
May / 10 / 2019
Answer:
Inside this page we wrote several times this is a racing part, for example in the answer above this. XR01171 is a Brembo racing "XR" series master cylinder, riders purchase this part to use on track so far. The main difference with RCS is that the seals of this master cylinder are not certified for long run with ABS. It does not mean this master cylinder won't work with ABS, for sure it will, it means that seals used for RCS or for Brembo oem master cylinders are certified to be used with ABS and also for long mileage as a oem master cylinder, therefore ABS certified, while a racing part has a limited lifetime and can not afford ABS strees tests that oem master cylinder should pass to be legal approved. The seals of racing master cylinder are made for pure racing braking, to maximize the braking feeling and not to comply to the manufacturer ABS needs. Finally It is racing because it is not street legal (in US = not for Highway use), while for example RCS is street legal for several motorcycles.
Question:
My S1000RR (for track use only) is equipped with Brembo GP4-RX, steel brake lines and RCS19 (setting red;black is too hard). ABS removed. The feedback of the brakes is not the way I would like to have it. Do you think the feedback will improve with a PR 19x18 CNC?
May / 20 / 2019
Answer:
For track use only the mc that riders use is CNC 19x18. For best modulability you can either choose 19x16 . They are pretty different from RCS because they are reak racing parts.
Question:
Hello,I have a Ducati 1199 Panigale R from 2015 with ABS, I use my bike only on Race CircuitCan you tell me this model is the best for my bike?I have a Brembo M50 radial original delivery by Ducati.I have ABS system Activate, this Master Cylinder is compatible with ABS?Thank you
July / 28 / 2019
Answer:
On track riders do not use ABS, Usually it is removed using different brake lines. BTW this master cylinder is not compatible with ABS, the seals are not compatible with continous push pull typical of ABS systems. If you want to keep ABS and M50 calipers use a 17RCS.
Question:
Hi I am just about to purchase the Billet CNC master cylinder but there are 2 different part numbers which is XR01171 & XR01172 can you please explain the difference?Bike that I shall be using it on is a 2019 Zx6r (bypassed ABS) steel braided direct brake lines, GP4RX caliper with z04 brake pads. Thanks for the assistance sir
September / 06 / 2019
Answer:
XR01172 is the 19x20, not used by riders, it is listed in the Brembo catalogue but nobody uses x20 , everybody uses x19 then XR01171 19x18 .
Question:
Hi, I had 19x18 CNC with M4 calipers on my 2015 R1. I want to upgrade my new 2019 R1 with the same master cylinder but with GP4-RX calipers. Will I have the same feeling? What differences can I expect? Is this MC it the best combination with GP4-RX calipers?
February / 28 / 2020
Answer:
19x18 is a racing mc, can work with GP4RX calipers on a track bike. You won't have the same feeling because M4 pistons are bigger than GP4 pistons. The difference will be more power. For track use only the mc that riders use is with GP4RX is CNC 19x18. For best modulability you can either choose 19x16
Question:
Hi, I’m building a 2018 R6 race bike, I was thinking about using this for the master cylinder, with some Gp4-rx calipers sand some brembo t drive front discs, would this be a good brake upgrade for racing? Thanks

For track use this is one of the best master cylinder you can use, no matter wich disks you mount.
Question:
Helloi have a s1000rr 2015 with abs, but abs is always switched off. i have a Brembo RCS19 brake pump and now also Brembo 5.5mm brake discs, the brake fluid is a racing from motul i always change the brake fluid after one or two racetracks weekends. but after 2 laps on the race track the brake lever becomes about 2-3cm soft, the thicker 5.5mm floater brake discs didn't help at all, the brake is exactly the same as before.Would this brake pump remain more stable brake lever or what can I do?
July / 15 / 2021
Answer:
You need to check the whole brake system, there is something not working fine, could be the calipers pistons, or the caliper springs, or the pads, it looks the system is getting hot because the pads always touch the disk. The easier way to verify is to park the bike on front stand and check the if the front wheel (elevated from the ground) turns free. In any case it doesn look a master cylinder problem. BTW it is not possible to give a correct answer without the bike...
Question:
I have stylema brake calipers and the standard 18x19 master cylinder. I wanted to mount the 19x18 cnc, but did not know about the abs. Since I have had the bike, my abs have not jumped at any time, is it a decisive factor to discard it because it is not compatible? Or just have to do a higher maintenance? Thank you.
August / 05 / 2021
Answer:
The CNC version seals are not compatible with ABS on/off pulsing, if ABS never works you will not have any issue
Question:
Would this be plug and play with a 2021 ZX10R race bike with stock rotors and calipers?
August / 11 / 2021
Answer:
It is plug and play using a M10x1mm single banjo bolt. Please Note this part is not compatible with ABS systems.
Question:
Hi I have a R1 2016 race bike and I was told the RCS17 is the correct piston size for my calipers instead of the one on the RCS19 due to being easier to modulate. But I wanted to get the CNC master instead and I'm not sure which one to go for. Is the 19x16 recommended for the R1 or the 19x18?Thank you very much!
August / 26 / 2021
Answer:
19x18 is a racing mc. For track use only the mc 19x18 is the best seller mc, it is the mc that matches 90% riders braking needs.
Question:
Can you confirm 110A26385PK and 10444663 are the correct parts to mount this for race use?
September / 02 / 2021
Question:
Which beacket and reservoir do I need then? I already ordered and need to change then
September / 02 / 2021
Answer:
Depends on which bike and which use. Bracket: there is not a specific bracket, this is a racing part , the workshop thast mounts it usually builds a brscket, or adapt the stock bracket. Reservoir: depends on which bracket , in any case for racing use the minimum volume is 30cc, for street use usually 45cc .

Question:
Hi, wondering if you have had any experience with using the 19x18 MC with the GP4MS?I know that typically calipers with 30mm pistons use lower ratio MC like 17RCS, but would like to know if you have tried/feedbacks on 19x18MC with GP4MS.
November / 26 / 2022
Answer:
GP4MS requires 19x16 .
Question:
Hello I ride a Hypermotard 1100s with 2 clips mono block 30/34 but with new titanium cylinders and a higher height of 1mm, I try to choose between 17rsc corsa Corta and 19x18 , what is your proposal? Main use on 70% road and 30% track

Question:
Hi! I have an Aprilia RS 250 1997, where my brake pump has stopped working and needs to be replaced. Do you recommend 16x18 or 19x18? There is currently a brake pump with a 16 mm piston produced by Piaggio Group, but the RS 250 has two brake calipers with two 30 mm pistons and two 34 mm pistons. The caliper is designed for 70 bars of pressure. Shouldn't 19x18 be recommended?
May / 02 / 2023
Answer:
When your RS250 was used for racing every rider used the 19x18 or 19x20. Now you can choose other 19mm like 19x17 or 19x21 or also 17RCS.
Question:
Would this be plug and play with a Suzuki GSX-R750 L1 with this " 208973733 " rotors and original calipers? And which hose can I use additional? (or what you would suggest, what kind of combination?). Thanks a lot!
May / 02 / 2023
Answer:
Suzuki GSX-R750 L1 use 310mm disks therefore the 320mm mod with 208973733 disks is not plug and play. You can use 208973732 310mm disks combined with 19mm master cylinder adding a M10x1.00mm banjo bolt
Question:
Hello CarpiMoto. I know this is for racing and will have better performance than the 19RCS Corsa Corta; can you tell us what exactly are the differences in performance compared to 19RCS Corsa Corta set at 18mm ratio braking stroke and at Race idle stroke? 19x18 CNC Billet would be stronger, with less fade? Will last longer? Thanks. Cheers
July / 30 / 2023
Answer:
This is a racing master cylinder, for race use only. RCS are street master cylinder that cam be used on track. It is like to compare a SBK motorcycle to a Street Motorcycle. CNC are stronger, less fade, different feeling... etc etc etc . Also RCS can be used with ABS because seals are made to work with on/off typical ABS braking, while CNC master cylinders CAN NOT be used with ABS .
Question:
After my crash, I needed to replace the complete lever (all except the master cylinder)Will this part 110A26397 match this 19RCS?
September / 08 / 2023
Answer:
No, all the spare parts are listed inside the RCS page.
Question:
Hi Carpimoto,Typically, for M50 I understand brembo recommends RCS17. Would the XR01171 which is 19x18 be recommended for use with M50 calipers (E.g. ZX10R)?I intend to bypass ABS, so that won't be an issue.
October / 02 / 2023
Answer:
For M50 to be used on track , no ABS, 19x16 is the size recommended by Brembo.
Question:
Will a Brembo RCS remote adjuster work with the XR01171 - 19X18 or do i need to order a new cable and bracket?Any chance the bracket is universal and can be used with either the RCS and XR cables?
February / 28 / 2024
Answer:
It won't work because the end connection is different. Use TWM GP Remote Adjuster, it comes with both end plugs, one for RCS and the other for CNC master cylinders.
